Today I said “no”. I was quite surprised with this because
sometimes most of the time I can’t say it. Some people say this is a great quality, but to be honest with you I don’t know if I agree with this. Sometimes saying “no” is necessary and vital, and knowing when to say “no” is even more important.
Do I feel better after saying “no”? No, not at all! Do I fell bad after saying “no”? Kind of… I’ve been thinking about this since I said it earlier today. “Should I have accepted the invitation?” “Is she mad at me?” “Will she be mad at me for a long time?” These are the type of questions that are bothering me right now… See, it wasn’t a huge “no” to be said. It was a simple “no” for a simple afternoon party invitation.
I was also invited for another thing today. This time I said “maybe” and I’m really considering calling my friend to say “no” to him too. I haven’t really made up my mind about his invitation. I could easily go, but this saying “no” thing is starting to become interesting. Perhaps I should practice it more often…
