‘Personal Friend’

By Nando in: Blog August 21, 2007 Email This Post Email This Post Print This Post Print This Post Post a comment

I was watching the news a couple of days ago and they were talking about a new career, which seems to be emerging quite fast. The name of the career is: “Personal Friend”. Can you guess what a “Personal Friend” does?  Yeah! That’s pretty much what you thought! An absurd, right? How come a person can pay someone to be your friend for 50 minutes? (and bloody expensive 50 minutes for 300 quids!). If you need someone to talk to, call a friend, call a relative, buy a dog (dogs are great listeners) or go to a fucking shrink (at least you would spend money on a medical treatment), for God’s sake!

When I tell you that the world is getting crazy, you should believe me. Do you believe me now?

  1. I had never heard of that! Wow! How exactly is it different from a shrink? I mean, “pay someone to talk to” is not new… but they call it shrink or analyst or whatever… now huh?
